Up North

14/6/25

Today (technically yesterday since it's past midnight now) I travelled to the Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

On the way to Craigieburn Central, we stopped at Preston Market to grab lunch. I got a giant burrito and some quesadillas that fell apart when I tried to eat them and I ruined my jeans with all that dripping deep-fry oil. Oops.

I then continued on my journey and guess what? I FOUND THE EQUIVALENT OF 717M'S HOUSE IN REAL LIFE! Yep, Craigieburn depot or sidings or whatever it's called, I found it. You can see it very faintly in the pictures.

And then I arrived at Craigieburn central. It was pretty okay there. It has all the staples you need, plus some good specialties and entertainment. However it's severely lacking in food options, and it seriously needs a main food court that isn't full of higher-end stores that require you to sit down and order from them. It's uniquely designed to have 4 quadrants split by a road down the middle North-South and by a smaller lane East-West, and this design kinda reminds me of Surfers Paradise in the Gold Coast.

I then headed to the lookout at the top of a hill (is it still in Craigieburn? I have no idea). You could see the city, and planes taking off and landing at the airport, although it wasn't the best since it was getting dark and there was some fog. It was still really pretty, and the image below can't do it justice.

On my way to get dinner I passed by the Craigieburn train maintenance thingy. So 717M's hospital irl. I know, it's a shitty image taken while moving at 80kmph on a car.

And then I had dinner at Marrybrown for the first time. I got their rice dish which was pretty good. Their fried chicken is nice.

And yeah that was my messy trip up north. My first proper blog entry yay!
